THS Color Guard

The THS Colorguard is under the direction of Samantha Sorenson and Camryn Hewelt.  The colorguard is an incredibly important extension of the Trinity Band program, and while their visibility is pretty high in the Fall thanks to marching band season, the performance they put together in the winter doesn’t typically get seen as often. Each year the guard competes in several NTCA competitions and these students would light up if they got the chance to brag a bit and tell you a little about what they do. 

Historically, the Trinity Winter Guard has had two teams, a JV team and a Varsity team.  In the 2023 season the Varsity team competed in NTCA competitions and took home the Scholastic A Bronze Medal at championships.  The JV Group was promoted into the Scholastic A classification, and for the first time in THS Winter Guard history, competed at the same level as our Varsity team.  The Trinity JV group was promoted into their new classification as a result of their continuous high scores at NTCA contests.  The Trinity Guard also won Best Colorguard at the Birdville Marching Competition during the 2022-23 season.
